Race Committee
The Sailing Club proudly introduces our dedicated Race Committee Program, responsible for planning an exhilarating series of races throughout the sailing season. This initiative is designed to cater to a diverse fleet with three distinct race categories: All Boats, Sunfish, and Flying Scot, ensuring thrilling competition and inclusivity for all members. Understanding the importance of accessibility and participation, the club provides several club-owned Sunfish boats and a Club Flying Scot, enabling enthusiasts without personal boats to engage fully in the racing spirit. Moreover, the camaraderie within our community shines, as numerous skippers are often in search of crew members, opening doors for individuals to participate, learn, and contribute to team efforts. This program not only emphasizes the sport's competitive edge but also fosters a deep sense of community and teamwork, making the Race Committee Program a cornerstone of our club's seasonal activities.
Junior Program
The Sailing Club is thrilled to announce the launch of our Junior Program, a pioneering initiative designed to introduce the joys of sailing to children under the age of 12. With a keen focus on instilling the fundamentals of sailing while fostering a lifelong love for being on the water, this program is the perfect starting point for young enthusiasts. Our fleet, featuring several Optimist dinghies, is ideal for the youngest sailors to learn and navigate safely under expert guidance. As our sailors grow in confidence and skill, they have the opportunity to graduate to more advanced boats, including the 420 and the Capri 14, which are perfectly suited for teenagers looking to broaden their horizons.
